PLEASE recommend areas to live in L.A.
Have Redondo Beach, Manhattan Beach, Torrance... recommend neughborhoods, streets, townhomes, houses... looking to rent 3/2, 3/3 in the $2500. Can I rent a decent place for these amount?

try craigslist.org and check out some homes.
I live in Sherman Oaks and love it. This is the other side of the HOLLYWOOD sign. Its good for families... It does however, get pretty hot in July and August. But to live in...it has all the stores I need in close proximity and is close to the freeway, so getting around LA is not too difficult. Traffic, mind you, is another subject!

As for renting, I would say you can definitely find a place for $2500. It won't be on the water but it should be in a pretty decent area, GL!
