I always pick DD up from daycare and love to read the little daily report forms the fill out. ?Usually they have been pretty mundane, but today's report was that DD rolled over several times today during tummy time. ?For the few of you who seem to read my posts, DD hasn't rolled from tummy to back for me or DH at all yet. ?If you give her a little push she could do it, but definitely not on her own.
I got tears in my eyes, I can't believe she won't roll over at home, but will do it several times at daycare. ?While I love my job, its days like today that I want to be home with her.?
Re: So sad - missed milestones
aww...i'm sorry you are feeling down. hang in there and big hugs.
you aren't missing milestones. she's just practicing and practicing all day while at daycare so that when she finally shows off her skills for Mommy - she does it just PERFECTLY!!
I'm going to second this! Abigail rolled over for DH a bunch of times before I saw her. I'd even be right there and turn my back for 10 seconds and she would roll and I missed it every time. One day she was laying on the floor and started screeching at me, so I looked at her, and she rolled right over. It was like she was saying "ok, mommy, look at me now!" - I swear she just wanted to get it down perfect before she did it for me
I'm sorry you are sad for missing those rolls though, I totally understand!
