on the advice of a couple of ladies Hannie is in her crib for her nap. she isn't crying, but she is squirming and kind of fussing that she is in her swaddle (girl hates having her arms restricted). i've put the paci in her mouth a couple of times but she just drops it. should i keep replacing it or just let her try to fall asleep? for what it is worth, she is tired because when i put the paci in her mouth she closes her eyes.
Re: Tell Me To Just Let Go
I've stopped responding to that "fussing" situation. Let her work it out ... that's what "drowsy but awake" means, IMO.
If she starts getting really upset I would go and get her.
Ditto.. and that sucks because you know you have to start all over, but eventually they will put themselves to sleep. Or so they say....
Screw whoever they is seriously though... They is probably a man who wrote a booke while his wife was slowly going crazy from sleep deprivation.
haha GL! Keep going though!!
naps in the crib is a new thing. since she was born she has slept in our room. we transitioned her from the swing to the bassinet and now are trying the crib. while i love her being in the room with us it just is not conducive to a good nights sleep for me ( i wake up with every little noise).
i'll try to let her fuss it out and if she gets too upset i'll go and soothe her.
This is what I do. Instead of fussing now he plays coos and drifts off. If he cried or got worked up I would go in but otherwise I let him be!
