I already told you this in another thread, but I prefer Mina.  Then Meena.  Not so crazy about Mena.

You actually prompted this, as I had never seen it spelled that way, thanks!

    I feel so important now.

Mina was originally a nickname for Wilhelmina.  That's a mouthful, though.

  • Mina.

I think of Mena as May-na.

Delurking to say - I'm reading Dracula right now, and one of the main characters is Mina Harker - short for Wilhelmina. I like Mina - it's very pretty.

    Ditto.

Also, Meena looks a little too "hookt awn fonix" for me.  Mina is super cute, esp. as a nn for something like Wilhelmina.

  • I like Mina best.  My DD's full name is Catherine Wilhelmina...Wilhelmina is after a great grandparent & she went by Mina....but my DD goes by Winnie which is a combo of 2 Wilhelmina nicknames...Minnie & Willa.  We're weird that way--LOL!

Actually Meena is the traditional Indian spelling, and since you know, my DH is from there I'm open to it.
