bedtime.
here goes...we have a flexible routine that goes like this.
7:30-8:00 bathtime
8:00-8:30 bf
Here is the trouble...8:30-10:00 or 11:00 trying to get this kiddo to go to sleep. She gets super fussy and I'm afraid overtired but we just can't get her to sleep. We rock her, put her in the ergo, sing to her, etc (all in a dark room and we we sing we sing very softly). Then she'll doze off but the minute we put her in her crib, she's awake and fussy/crying again.
It's weird, during the day/evening she won't nap in her crib or when she does she wakes up immediately, but once she's asleep at night she is fine in her crib. She sleeps until 3ish when i feed her and then until 6-7.
So, my questions are...1. when does your 2 month old nap/what's your schedule. 2. what's your bedtime routine and times? 3. any advice for me and please don't flame if you don't believe in schedules. I believe in flexible schedules.
Re: 2nd month ?s regarding...
Mine is a little older but not much.
I found that I definitely needed to be flexible with the schedule, BUT - here's what we did:
Feed at 6am, 10am, 2pm, 6pm, and 10pm (with a 2-3am most of the time, but goal is to cut this feeding completely).
If she didn't get enough naps in the day (1-2 hours awake after feeding during the day, then a 1-2 hour nap) OR if she napped too long, this would throw off the evening feeding. So basically she gets naps that are anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours between each feeding.
At night we start the bed ritual at 9pm - bath, jammies (w/ fun song), book, feeding, then crib w/ whale sounds. If she wakes up or fusses, I use a pacifier.
Hope this is at all helpful.
When DS was a NB we could not put him to bed before midnight. It was the weirdest thing. Now he goes down around 10 or 11 and sleeps fine in his bassinet. But he will only nap in my arms during the day. I can sometimes sneak him down, but mostly I give in and hold him. I just bump during that time (like now).
We slowly bumped his bed time from midnight to 10 by puting hi mdown a little earlier every night. We are pretty happy with a 10 pm bed time here.

DS is just short of 2 months, but our day sounds like one in previous post.
He's basically up at 6 am and then eating every 4 hours until 6 pm or so. We try to get him to bed by 8 pm and for the past two weeks or so he'll sleep until 2 am, he feeds (we FF btw), and falls back asleep - repeat.
I would say that he usually naps for about an hour early early in the morning after his first feed, then takes a long nap around noon time and then another nap in the afternoon after lunch time (so he'll nap one hour, then two to three, then another two). He basically can only stay awake for an hour or two tops up until then.
The evenings though, nap-wise, are much more inconsistent. Sometimes he'll cat nap, sometimes not at all, etc. And that dictates somewhat when he goes to sleep. We do try for 8, but if he didn't nap, it might be earlier, and if he did have a long evening nap, he may fall asleep later. Today for instance it was 9 pm. Yesterday, too. I don't think he's been up much later than that though...
We love the idea of a schedule, too, but honestly, I've just given in to his being my dear boy who needs us, so we rock him to sleep for naps and put him in his swing. I have had some success with his napping in the crib, but usually not for as long.
What if you started the night routine earlier, trying to get her to bed before that fussy period? Maybe she's overtired by then?
