Would this be silly: "up do" for a toddler

Hailey's dance recital is tonight. ?They have certain outfits and hair pieces they have to wear. ?Hailey's hair is really thin and no so long...its going to be hard to pin this hair piece in her hair. ?I've thought about calling the kids hair place to see if they would do an up do. ?I don't' know that they do them....maybe I am just being lazy but I want her to look nice

My H's cousin had her hair done for our wedding-- she was 4. ?She LOVED her salon experience

what do you have to do to her hair before the hairpiece?  If its just a pony tail with the piece attached to that, I think you can totally do it...enough hairspray, it will stay even without pins...(from experience with two baldy's who also have fine wispy hair)...wet it down, pull it back and spray the crap out of it.   There will be enough to put a rubber band around easy enough.

if it requires a certain style.....then I'd be a little more wary and consider taking her to a salon

If it just needs to be in a bun then I wouldn't go to a salon for that.

I wouldn't get an updo for a toddler either way.  It's a bit JonBenet for me.
