Also Back from L&D

I have been having contractions on and off for a week. Went from 0cm to 2.5cm in 5 days. Today I started having contractions more regularly and stronger feeling. I started timing at 1pm and the were 4-5 min apart for an hour and a half so I called my Doctor's office.

The on call midwife called me back and said it sounds like the real thing and to come in. I went in, got hooked up to monitors. Grady looked good, I was having regular contractions still 4-5 min apart. The doctor came in and gave me an exam, still 2.5cm and about 50% effaced. They said they were going to run blood work since my BP was high. Everything came back fine. Doctor came back 3 hours later and checked me. My cervix was "very, very" soft, but no change as far as dilation.

They sent us home and said we may be back tonight or we may be back in a few days, but we are in ealry labor. So here I am, just waiting and still have contractions. C'mon labor dust!

(p.s. posts like this are giving me hope...I was at 0cm and no effacement at my 37 week appointment and have been having contractions for 3-4 days now, I'm keeping my fingers crossed for progress at my 38 week appt.)

ack! when did they say you should come back? When they are 3 mins apart?

She said I should come back when they hurt so bad that I can not breathe or talk through them, or when my water breaks! Fun, can't wait!!!
