Parenting after a Loss

Had Jacob's christening today :o),

All went well.  The service was looonnng, but very nice.  The church we go to seems to have a very young congregation, which is nice, and the priest was pretty down-to-earth.  He wasn't the typical catholic priest who was being all about the guilt and such, so that was nice.

of course, as always, there was some family drama... when isn't there family drama when all these people get toghether, lol.

worst part... the "gifts" that my dh's grandmother gave us.  they were horrible.  not age appropriate, not religious themed/christening appropriate and not even new!  bizarre!    UMMM... this crazy person gave him a LOLLIPOP that has a fan attached.  WHY would a person give a 5mth old a lollipop.  grrrr.

  • Hi and Yeah!! I logged on just to see if you had posted any update on the christening.

I must say both you and Jacob look great! He looks so handsome and you look so pretty.. seriously!! :)

I hope we can catch up some time soon.... and swap family drama stories...

    Thinking of you, Mel

  • Oh and I forgot, I see so much of you in Jabob - I meant to comment on that the other day, but of course got distracted. I cant believe our little babies are becoming little people...  I remember the days when we would "wheel" the babies in to each of our hospital rooms. I know they are supposed to - but they grow up soo quick!
