The CNM told me to start taking it. She said 3 pills a day of 500 mg.
The bottle says you can take up to six. Just wondering if anyone else was on it, and how much, and if they have ever heard of it helping. CNM says it just helps to ripen the cervix.
TIA!?
Re: Anyone else taking Eve. Primrose Oil?
I take two capsules orally and insert two vaginally every day, and since I started I've had some progress: 1-2 cm dilation and 50% effaced. I've also been drinking red raspberry leaf tea, which is supposed to strengthen your uterus so that your contractions do more.
If you use them vaginally, be sure to sleep with a pad, they tend to leak!
You guys scared me! I just had to run and get the bottle and make sure I was taking it "the correct way" ?=)
Yes, I have the pill form... She didn't say anything about the other kind. I wonder if one works any better than the other. I haven't had internals yet, so I don't know where I stand at all.
I'm glad to hear my dosage is just about the same. I kinda felt like, hey, maybe if I take more, it will work faster, but sounds like 3 pills is fairly average from the two of you.
Thanks girls.?
i have the pill form and i take two orally and put two in my vagina each night- the gel capsul is what is inserted. hth
As far as using them as a supp, you just get the usual oral capsules but just insert them as high up as they will go in your vagina.
This raspberry tea ... where did you get it?
I found mine in the tea aisle at the grocery store (Publix). If you can't find it there you could try Whole Foods or another health food store, they might be more likely to have it. Be sure you don't just get raspberry flavored tea; it has to be red raspberry leaf tea. Most of the packages I saw said something about "toning the female system".
Thanks!
