Met my Doula Today

We are a great fit. She's no nonsense and will not coddle me but will coach me. Liked her instantly. I start hypnotherapy with her in the next two weeks to deal with my squeamish pregnancy/labour/pain issues. She gave me a guided birth plan to fill out and we've agreed that I will labour at home for as long as possible ( I live ridiculously close to the hospital). Totally on the same page about medical intervention and supporting me to try and enable a natural birth.

For those of you on the fence about using a doula, I would totally recommend at least interviewing one if you need convincing. We spent two hours with her today and I'm happy to have her run the show once the time comes.?

i'm doing hypnobirthing too - love it.  the other day i was wondering why i wasn't so angry as per usual.  i'm thinking it's all the meditation and voodoo visualizations.  that or the valium.
