xp: Breastsheild questions

I have the medela PIS w/ the 24mm shields.  so, Did any of you switch to different ones?  If you switched to the larger ones was it because of the size of your nipple or the size of your breast.  I think I may need the larger one but I'm not too sure.  Also, anyone use the softfit ones?  What do you think of them?

I switched because of my breast size, but the larger ones were actually worse. I think it's the nipple size that warrents a bigger size shield.

I have always used the 20.  I think it is the nipple size that makes the size.

I had four sets of the 24mm but then after meeting with my LC she fit me for a 30!  It definitely made pumping more comfortable after.  I don't think the softfit come in anything but 24's.

I have not tried different size shields. I know i would not need bigger ones, i have stupidly small nips.. I thought of trying smaller ones but i can't find them anywhere except online and don't really want to pay for shipping and everything..
I have a soft fit shield on my hand pump and I actually take it off and use the regular shields from my PISA because I dont think it works as well. I read that sometimes they work better for some people and sometimes they work worse.. just depends on the person
