i only have gotten a few things i havent really shopped i guess thats a bad thing. i am waiting until after my shower to see what i get and then my going to buy stuff from there.
I didn't think you used dryer sheets for babies. They are so sensitive, well maybe just the babies I've been around, they were allergic to everything including Johnsons baby soap and lotion.
How exciting! I think I'm gonna hold off until about 36-38 weeks. I don't want them to get dusty in the closet.
I work pediatric dermatology, and we do NOT recommend dryer sheets, fabric softeners, or bleach. And that goes for everyone in the house...after all, baby will be coming into contact with your clothes while you hold him/her. Also, you don't need to buy expensive Dreft...we recommend anything hypoallergenic/dye free like All Free, Tide Free or Cheer Free. I plan on using Tide Free.

I am waiting until after having my showers and of course, I need a place to put all of the washed stuff. (Our furniture still hasn't arrived, after 2 months!)
I have to get some laundry detergent so I can do this too. I am waiting for DH to move the dresser from his parents house still so I kinda held off on that! Time to get movin I guess!
Instead of using dryer sheets I use the dryer balls, and I haven't had anything come out static-y... they're fantastic! I bought one pair at Target for like $6, they're blue plastic and have little nubs all over them, and then I bought a pair of wool ones on ebay for $10.
To answer your question, I started washing all our stuff at about 34 weeks, which I thought might have been a bit early, but I'm really glad that I did, because now everything is put away and I can focus on other things.
Re: Washing my 1st load of baby clothes!!
I can't even remember when I started but that sounds exciting.
Well, it's exciting now... but it gets old fast. LOL This time, I may track the hours spent washing baby clothes!
