Your rubber band bra--can you provide me with some type of sketch or prototype so I can copy you? I'm way too cheap to buy a special hands-free nursing bra, but your idea sounds ingenious, and I always had a bit of a crush on MacGyver...
Not BoF, but one hint I read when I was nursing was to get a regular sports bra to wear under your nursing bra and cut slits in the cups for the cones to go through. Just drop the nursing cup, slip the cone inside the slit bra cup and start pumping.

Sweet! Great idea. Love your sig pic, too--adorable!
Oh, and I think the rubber band trick is slipping a rubber band around the neck of the cone and then hooking it onto the hook near the strap of the nursing bra. I think the first idea (sports bra) would be easier than trying to rig up the rubber band bra.

I just use 3 ( well I double them for strength, so 6.) long rubberbands (I think they're 6 inches?) and link them together in a chain. I put that around me and hook the end loops to the cones, (at this point you have to hold onto it all- it isn't attached to you until you put the smaller rubber band around BOTH cones.
then you stretch it and adjust it accordingly...it is super easy. and perfectly comfortable.
I can't really do the sports bra thing, I guess b/c if I go in public I have to wear a regular (full coverage, damn headlights!) bra- I am too vain to wear a nursing bra- they're not supportive enough and I feel like an ape. A sports bra wouldn't work under my regular bras. but WHAT a good idea that would be!
Re: ***BOF*** Let's discuss your bra.
