vent: parents asking for state of the cervix

unfortunately my parents now know i go to the doctor every friday. so they both call and try to pretend like they are casually asking how my day is and then, "Oh! did you go to the doctor today? whats the word?"

i do NOT feel like giving them a play by play every week of what my body is doing. i just keep saying i'm on track and baby will come when he/she is ready!

seriously-like i want to tell my dad about my cervix/MP/etc??? um no thanks!

 there's nothing to tell, so i did say that. but even if next week there is something i have no interest in saying the word 'cervix' to my father

I would just say "I'll let you know when anything changes". I think that's pretty clear.

When your dad's in the medical field, I guess you're more used to that sort of thing!!  I tell my dad all sorts of things that are probably fairly odd.

Our families keep asking us the same thing.....does my FIL really need to ask my DH if I'm dialated?  We just keep telling them we will let them know when there is news to report.  I really don't like sharing all the specific details with our families b.c they will tell the world about my vag.  Yet what is weird I have no problems telling my friends all the details.
