Parenting after a Loss

Either DH is sick or he!! froze over!

This man has so many personal/sick days built up he could probably go a whole school year without working.  But he's a principal and evidently the place collapses when he's not there to give those teenagers the look of death when they've screwed up!

I've been trying to find someone to watch Lilly while I go to my u/s tomorrow, but the poor kid is so sick and I can't ask a neighbor (all our neighbors are about 75+) to come lug around a 16 lb vomiting, crying baby and I just don't feel like anyone else can comfort her like we can.  So I fibbed a little and told DH I couldn't find anyone and asked if there was any way he could take tomorrow off.

Cue the icicles... he said he'd work it out.  HOLY cow!

(Maybe after tomorrow he'll understand why I am tired of people saying how hard Lilly being sick must be on Matt since he has to go to work w/o much sleep.  Please, he has the easy job.  He gets to leave!)

  • I find it interesting that everyone seems to feel sorry for the Dads who work but not the moms. Total double standard!! I am glad your DH is going to work it out. It's his turn to be puked on!

And BTW.... I so hope she feels better soon. My poor little future DIL.

  • Heehee......glad it worked out!
