We're going to the Chicago area in 2 weeks to see my little brother graduate from boot camp. They ask that you don't bring strollers to graduation, but we will probably spend one day in the city. Should we lug the stroller up there with us or leave it home and just use the moby? I haven't received the moby yet, so I might hate it.
It
looks like the high will be in the 80's. Not sure I can handle the
extra layers in the heat all day. But I do like the idea of having her
so close to me so no one can touch or steal her. And my mom and dad
will be there to take a turn carrying her (and possibly little bro, but he likes to tease me and I don't think I could handle him playing like he's going to drop or run off with my baby...or worse ACTUALLY leaving my sight with my baby). And I'd pack a backpack instead of the diaper bag
We're taking the train from New Orleans to Chicago and then another train out to our hotel in Great Lakes, and don't plan to rent a car, but the train station is less than a mile from our hotel so we would walk there and take a train into the city, not a cab. Although not having the travel system does limit us to walking since we won't have the car seat, so if we get exhausted we're SOL.
Whatcha think?
Re: to take the stroller or not?
As much as I hate strollers, I think you should take one. If you're going to walk around Chicago you will probably want to be able to put her down and also put down your diaper bag.
By any chance, do you know anyone who has a snap 'n go that you could borrow? Then you would have a carseat and a very light weight stroller.
