I'm trying to keep myself motivated so I'm still window (computer window) shopping. This is further out that I would like to live but it's in a really good school district and still close to a lot of things. Oh, and the price doesn't hurt. I've been looking and the affordable apts. aorund here are hovels and the nice ones are more than a mortgage. It makes no sense to throw money away on them.

Emily, I'm the master at figuring that stuff out (I plot every tax option and extra deduction that could be taken out) and I'm a tightwad so I've been saving up. I def. am not going to make any moves before I start but I want to see what my options are. I can't stay with my sis forever and I'm still not keen on returning home (though things are calmer). Anyway, I totally get what you're saying. Hope my explanations didn't come off dismissive or defensive. :-) I was shocked by that calculator too but when I work it out with Mel's formula I get about the same. Still have to take into acct. any HOA fees too. Thanks!

I'm not crazy about it. It seems dark, especially since the dining area and kitchen have no windows.

Love the porch, hardwood floors and the walk-in closet.  Bathrooms look small...but hey, people don't spend that much time in them...right?  I agree with you...no sense throwing money away if you can get more for the $$ by moving a little further out.

The floors are nice and the rooms look nice and big but I agree it looks a little dark.  The main reason I wouldn't buy it is because the kitchen is so closed off.  As much time as I spend in there I need to be able to see out to keep an eye on what Liam is doing.  I'd probably burn lots of dinners in that kitchen....lol!

It looks like a great place.  I was in Huntsville last year and was surprised, though, at the number of drug users, and therefore low quality places to live, in the area.
