My thoughts on Adam Lambert (not a spoiler)

I really can't stand his theatrical approach to every single song that he does on Idol. I think that he honestly has a very good voice, but as an Idol contestant, I can't stand him. It's a shame to, because he is a very likeable guy and seems to be a decent human being, but I just can't stand the GD screeching.

Anyone agree? Heck, if you disagree, feel free to chime in as well ?

i love him and how he changes songs up - but i can see 100% how he's not for everyone- and i think that is fine- b/c no matter what- his talent is undeniable.  Will he win? who knows- teenie bopper girls get to decide... though i might have to vote next week if he's still in it

I completely agree! Plus, I think he seems a little smug. I would love to hear him sing a song in just a normal way without making it sound like a musical.

Ugh I totally agree! ?I was listening to him last night and DH said, "you know he really does have a good voice." ?No sooner had he said that, the?screeching?and screaming started. ?Just sing a fricking song! ?Maybe that's "his" thing and they way to make it his own, but I'm not into it.

I agree. He would/will have a great career in musicals. I know they are suppose to make the songs their own but he goes a little over the top with the screeching.

I have seen more of his tongue in one episode than I have on my DH's in one week. ?Seriously. ?Too much tongue, Adam Lambert. Too much tongue.?

I can't watch him. He drives me bananas. ?I do think he has a good voice, but I think he's theatrical. There is no way in hell you'll see kids (HS age) riding around listening to a cd of nothing but him screaming. ?That's what I always think... ?

SERIOUSLY!!! I am so sick of everyone talking about how great he is. He annoys the ever loving crap out of me. Last night when he sang One, I really thought it was going to be beautiful. Then he started the 2nd verse with the screaming. Good Lord! And what's with sticking your entire tongue out while screeching? How in the heck do you sing like that???

AND you know what I hate? If he loses, people will complain that it is because he is gay. Um, no, it is because he wasn't the best one on the show.

Yes, he is yucky.  He could be cool...but instead he's yucky.  I'm not a fan of the eighties hair band squalling.

Did anyone else notice that his earpieces during "One" had the unfortunate side effect of giving him Spock ears? It totally terrified me even more than I already am. Not a fan. I'm a huge fan of the other one in the finale, in case any west coasters are reading.
