Wellfleet!

Hey there!  How are things going?

We need to plan a get together - next week maybe? Oh, we had a bee in our house this morning and I thought of you :)

Re: Wellfleet!

  • Hi!  My life is kicking my butt right now.  Yesterday I had two sick kids, and the bees, and the dog came back from the dog walker covered in swamp water and stunk to high heaven.  Today is slightly better--only Ben is really sick, but so far I've had to deal with the garage door repair people, the electrician, and a new babysitter meeting.  Good news is that the last 2 nights Ben has slept 7 and 7.5 hours in a row!!  I think it is because he is sick, but still!!

Next week would be great.  We could do Monday, Tuesday or Thursday afternoons.  Is H staying in daycare for the summer?  Kate's school ends on 5/28 so we are free all day Mondays and Thursdays starting then.

  • Oh, and I was the trashiest mom ever at the park this morning.  Kate had a hat on, so I couldn't really see her face.  When she took it off, I noticed she had green boogers ALL OVER her nose and cheeks.  Then she ate wiped her nose in the sand box and got dirt stuck to the boogers.  And THEN I noticed that she'd peed out of her diaper and her pants were wet.  She seriously looked like a total ragamuffin.  DISASTER.  And of course I hadn't brought any tissues or spare diapers, so I had to wipe her boogers with my shirt (ick!) and we had to leave to change the diaper, which led to a meltdown, which led to everyone staring at me and my grody kid and I tried to wrangle a thrashing 2 year old into the stroller with a 5 wk old strapped to my chest.  Good times!

  • Girl, I have wiped Henry's boogers with my shirt more times than I care to admit.

I can't believe that Ben is sleeping so well - you totally won the sleep lottery with those two!  Do they just have colds? There is some gross, snotty thing going around - you would think that by mid-May we would be done with this.

H is staying in daycare Mondays and Wednesdays, but we are free anytime Monday, Tuesday afternoon and Thursday after 10:30 (and his Thursday class ends in two weeks, so Tuesdays will soon be free). We already have a playdate planned with Jake for Monday morning - would that be too many kids?

  • Kate has school Monday morning.  Let's try for Tuesday afternoon or Thursday.  We could so park/lunch on Thursday after 10:30 or something in the afternoon.  Whatever works for you.
  • Sounds good - let's talk on Monday and we can see what the weather is doing and if we want to do a park or indoor place...
