Hi, Erin!

Thanks so much for your detailed response to my post below! I really appreciate it! I will try all of your tips with the Nuby, and will also investigate the straw cups to help Madelyn become more comfortable with the sippy cup.

I am SO over FF! :( She is on Go n Grow now, per her GI doctor, and while it is somewhat cheaper than the regular Similac, we are anxious to save that $$! Not sure when milk will be allowed. We are giving her Duocal prescription powder 3-4X a day in her bottles and purees to help with extra calories for weight gain. Last month she gained 1 lb. in 5 weeks, which was the most ever! Hopefully, next Tuesday we'll see similar results.

We are leaning towards the Roundabout.. glad to know that Leah likes it! She is still rear-facing, correct? I need to look around for BRU coupons b/c I know the seat is pricey, but worth it. Is that where you purchased it? My mom has to pick up DD from the sitter 2 days a week due to my grad classes, so we won't switch her until school is out, but she is tired of the infant seat.

I am counting down the days till the end of school, and until graduation day for WSU grad school! Yippee!! I am so ready to have the summer to spend with DD!

 Thanks again!

  • Amber,

Here's the link to some BRU coupons.  There's one for 15% off carseats.  Also Albeebaby.com has some Roundabouts for $159.99.

  • Definitely keep trying the Nubys. Hopefully once she understands that tasty stuff is inside the cup, she'll try to keep sipping on it.

You have got to be so sick of FF. Although her gaining one lb. in five weeks is amazing-- hopefully she keeps up with that.

I definitely recommend the Roundabout. I used a 20% off coupon to get mine at BRU, and that was a decent price, but the $159.99 price posted above is a better deal. I've used albeebaby before and I've been really pleased with it. I think Madelyn would be very comfy in there!

Good luck winding down your school year and finishing grad school. That must be a huge relief to be done with that. I haven't even started yet...and I have no idea where I'll find the motivation to start! Good for you!
