Parenting after a Loss

Diaper size 1-2 vs. 1, which is better?

I'm a little confused about this diaper sizing.  I'm gonna order a big box soon and DD is about 12 lbs and fitting into Swaddlers size 1 ok but might outgrow it sooner than I think.  It looks like size 1-2 fits a wider range and is actually cheaper on Diapers.com so what's the tradeoff?  Not as soft?

  • Jax is wearing the swaddlers 2-3's right now...they are the same softness, just a bit bigger than the size 2's...

  • They are the same exact diapers, the 1-2's are just an in between size for babies that are getting too big for 1's but not quite big enough for 2's.  We used the in between sizes, they were great for transitioning up.
  • I used 1-2s more than 1s.  I like a diaper on the big side.
  • That is what E is in right now. I love them. The 2's were just a little too big and the 1's a little too small. The 1-2 seem to fit her really well.
  • I actually am a big fan on the in between sizes.  DS is in size 2-3 swaddlers right now and they are great.  Same diapers, just a bit bigger than the 2's and a bit smaller than the 3's.  It is actually pretty perfect for buying a big box when they are close to growing out of one size.  I would try them and see if they fit!  DS was almost out of size 2's when we bought this box and the 2-3 fit great!
