Yes, we went through MAJOR sleep problems right around 2.5 years old. It lasted a very long 3 months.
Now we're back on track. If DS naps (about 3 days a week) he goes to bed between 7:30 and 8. If he doesn't nap he's asleep at around 7 (bedtime routine starts at 6:30 or 1/2 hour before bedtime).
I try to have Nora in bed somewhere between 8 and 9 pm. She's had a lot more trouble falling asleep lately, so I do think that there might be a sleep regression at this age!
Bedtime is 8PM. If she naps she might stay up as late as 10pm with the "I need a drink"s and the "read me a book"s but then there are nights like tonight when she didn't nap and was sound asleep by 8:05. We are having some major issues right now, so I'm glad to hear that this type of regression is common.

we follow our old routine, but he cries, screams and he really does not look sleepy until 9. then we go back up and continue his tossing and turning and crying. it is just not like him. he used to go to sleep very well on his own.
Yes! Ethan was going to sleep later and later and it was a nightmare. Bedtime used to take a nice 30 minutes or so and around that age it was taking 1.5 hours. And he was refusing to go to bed.
