6 month growth spurt?

I don't know where my boy went.  About a week ago ds began getting up several times throughout the night ( been sttn since 3 months).  there will be a night or two when he will wake eat and go back to bed but most of the week sleeps straight through.  He had his shots at his appt and we started solids, didn't like apples so we moved on to sweet Pot, didn't like them at first but seems to now.  He is eating soo much all of a sudden I can't keep up with him and had to go to the freezer .  He went from napping for 30 min's to doing over an hour in the am then back to 30 min's.  He isn't crawling yet, but trying.  So is this a growth spurt or is he wanting to be mobile so much he's getting fussy? ( I have found him attempting to sit up while still half asleep and  crying).  Sorry if this was a rambled mess, just trying to get this posted before he wakes.  DH is afraid he's getting into a bad habit of waking to eat at night, but he is chugging it down like he is starving. We also have started to let him fall asleep on his own, which is going rather well, the first night was bad, but now he is decent about it.  Too many changes at once???  TIA if you got this far

I sure as hell hope this is a growth spurt because it sounds EXACTLY like what Allie is doing these days.  I want my happy, calm baby back and I want to get more than 3 hours of sleep each night!

I think it also has to do with the fact that he is learning to do so many things at once and now he wants to do them all ALL.THE.TIME.?
