We were told in our adoption interview that the little boy is quickly losing gross motor skills, esp the ability to walk. They expected him to need a walker or wheelchair very soon. My DH was worried about me carrying him up and down the stairs in our home and taking care of 2 toddlers while possibly pg (if this cycle works). This has been his biggest hesitation.

The doctors think they figured out what is wrong with him and it is treatable!! He just started the medication and is already showing signs of improvement. Although it will not cure him, we're hopeful he'll be able to walk and run again soon! I am so happy for him!
