At what age...

will she start to be awake more?  She still eats and then goes right back to sleep.  I try to entertain her(reading and attempting to make toys entertaining) so she will stay awake but she just fights with me until I give up and then she goes right to sleep again.

Oh, don't feel badly; at this age she is much too young for toys and games. She will gradually start to stay awake a bit more as each week goes by...I'd say by about 6-8 weeks you should notice a difference. Until then, its good that she is getting lots of sleep..that when she does all her best growing. :-)

Good to know.  I was starting to get worried that I was letting her sleep too much.

Isla has just in the last few days started staying awake longer after feedings...especially after a bottle. Are you still BFing? She always fall asleep in the boob. But after her 2ish and 7ish bottles she is awake and alert and today she spent about half an hour staring at me trying to smile while I talked and sang to her.
