Someone hacked my paypal account!!

Ugh - someone hacked into my paypal account somehow and spent nearly $300 on Acura parts...WTH?? ?So annoyed. ?Paypal emailed me and said my address had been changed to someplace in Houston. ?I logged in immediately and saw the charges and disputed them.

I was able to contact the seller and tell them not to ship the item and refund my money and they are being very helpful...but now I'm worried bc how did they get my password? ?Its also a password I use in many places, so I guess I need to just start changing it everywhere? ?Sigh...what a royal PITA.

    i'm sorry :(

    my email was hacked a few months ago. ?i felt super violated. ?and yeah, i used that password for a lot of stuff so i immediately had to change like 5 different accts.

    my district (work) IT guy told me to set my new password to a phrase that I would remember and then use the first letter of each word. ?apparently these types of passwords are much harder to hack. ?so that's what i do now.

    ex: "I can remember this password forever! " translates to a password of Icrtpf!

    again, sorry. ?and i'm glad that you aren't out all that money?

    That's a great suggestion. ?I have had this password (or some form of it) for a long time, its probably time for a change. ?Its just so annoying. ?I'm glad I caught it early though!
