Parenting after a Loss

A 3 hour nap? Really?

I can't believe this child took a 3 hour nap. I mean I'm grateful. I really needed the nap myself, but come on.?And she just friggin yawned.?

So my plan for this afternoon is to let her nap when se wants to. I'm not going to wake her up early or fight it. And I'll see what happens. It can't be any worse than what we've had going on. Right??

Re: A 3 hour nap? Really?

  • DS did that on Saturday, and the previous Sunday too. It's weird, because while I got a lot done, if I had known he was going to sleep so long I would have gotten even more done...and napped too! lol He slept great all night too, so it didn't interfere with his nightime sleep at all.

Let her sleep when she wants, dont' wake her or fight it.  Maybe a growth spurt.

  • Ethan has started with the super long naps too...usually 1.5 hrs but as long as 3 hrs. ?As long as its not at the end of the day its been fine....I really welcome the time to get things done or have some time to myself.
