Hey hon I am so so sorry for all you are going through. I know its really scary any time anything just a bit off goes on and changes how we feel about our pregnancies and babies.
I wanted to ask if they mentioned IUGR to you? My SIL's second baby had IUGR and had been measuring behind for quite awhile. She was a ways along as well before they caught on. At first they just thought she wasn't as far along and changed her due date. But then a month or two later (at around 6 or 7 months I think) she was only maybe 1 lb. She was just so tiny and wasn't putting on any weight at all. They did a lot of u/s and NSTs. My SIL was due in June and this all stared up really fast in April that year. Of course she ended up with preeclampsia as well to make it even harder on her little girl. So they delivered May 17 by induction. And my niece was so beautiful and thriving AMAZINGLY on the outside. She was 3lbs 11 oz at birth. So so tiny. Because everything happened so fast they didn't get to start the steriods for the lungs or anything early. Yet, it didn't matter because even the NICU nurses said NICU said "She was the healthiest baby in the NICU." Everything was functioning perfect and she was doing great. THe only reason they kept her in the NICU was because of her size. When she made it to 4 lbs a week later, she got to come home!!!! ANd although a baby so small was crazy, she truly was a miracle baby just waiting to happen. She will be turning 3 now on the 17th and hasn't had one problem whatsoever. You'd also never know she was an IUGR or preemie baby...NEVER she's quite a big girl with no delays in anything.
I just wanted to be able to share a success story with you, so you know they are out there. Definitely please take the advice from the doc and nurses...REST REST REST. I cannot stress that enough. My SIL was also put on a very low - no sodium diet but that was more the low amnio fluid and preeclampsia issues I believe. REsting absolutely as much as possible really does help, even if it seems more to drive us crazy with boredom.
You are in m thoughts and prayers!!! If you need anything or to talk PM or page me...I'm here for you.
