Tummy time help please...

How do I get me daugter to be interested in tummy time...right now she HATES it...she was 6 weeks early so she is still behind a little bit for her age...she sleeps on her belly - I am wondering if that could be a reason she doesn't enjoy tummy time...because she associates it with sleeping??I am at a loss here...any advice would be appreciated..

    Harris still doesn't like tummy time. He is getting better, but he'll only be "happy" for a max of 3-5 minutes and then he either cries uncontrollably or falls asleep. I think as long as you keep trying it will be ok. Sleeping on her tummy is probably giving her a little work with those muscles since she might be awake when you put her down and then she wakes up that way too. Sorry I'm not more help.

    When I worked on that w/DD I would lay down & let her lay belly to belly on me so that she had the incentive/motivation to look up & see my face.  Other things that worked well were putting a mirror in front of her or laying on my belly in front of her while she was sort of propped up on her belly on the boppy.  HTH!
