While at her house (because she didn't make reservations for dinner) for dinner, dd tried to eat her house phone. I said "no meredith. MIL will you please move it?"?

MIL proceeds to say "it's ok" I said "no it's not". MIL then tells me that she can do anything at gma's. Uh yeah no. If I say no, it's no. That's it.

I informed dh that I am going to have a chat with his parents. I need to know that if I say no, then that's it. It's my rules first and then their rules at their house or out with them without me. Not for them to undermine me. Especially in front of my kid. Yes I get that she's not old enough yet to understand that, but she will be and I need to set that right now.

I just can't even with my ils. They have no problem completely undermining my parenting. And then they wonder why I don't let them babysit. ?

i wish mine did.  they want to move to my town too.  UGH, no.  And Im with you crazy, no babysitting for the in laws with me either.  They told me I should let my 11 DAY OLD baby cry it out.  It was so obvious she was just hungry too.
