Can someone explain short LP?

So I am in my 2WW and have nothing better to wonder about right now Big Smile

Just curious, I see posts quite often on here about short LP.  Is there a significance to having a short LP?

    If it is too short, the egg doesn't have enough time to implant.

    and sometimes all it takes is some progesterone during the LP to fix this.

    Anything shorter than 10 days is a problem and 12-14 days is ideal. It takes the fertilized egg 6-10 days to implant so that's why your LP needs to be longer than that.
    Me: 44 DH: 42. DS born healthy at 40 weeks 8/24/09. TTC since then with no luck or ART. Surprise BFP 8/6/14... MMC @ 8 weeks 4 days... Miss you everyday sweet baby angel.
