My mom and I are very close - we talk almost ever day - but becoming a mother has helped me to understand the kind of love you feel for your children. A love that can't ever really be expressed.
My mom and I are not close at all. Being a mom has taught me to never take my relationship with my child(ren) for granted. I will also make sure that they know I am always there for them... no matter what.

Being a mom has made me completely understand why my mom worried so much! I didn't get it at the time, but I know now why she was a little overprotective of me.
My mom hasn't talked to me since October because of a stupid petty fight we had. She hasn't even met my son yet. I have learned no matter what my son does, I will never stop talking to or loving him. He will always be in my life no matter what happens. Life is too short to hold grudges especially over such petty issues.

My Mom and I became SO much closer after I had Joey. It made me appreciate her so much more. She's an awesome grandmother and I now realize that she was right about so many things.
After losing my mother, and being a mother around the same time, I know that being away from me for any length of time really did killer her, and I am sorry for getting mad when she called me twenty times a day, and wanted to know how I was doing!!
