Parenting after a Loss

Dresser organization?

I'm trying to get the nursery in order today and need some mom advice! We have a dresser with 6 drawers that will double as our changing table. The drawers are big - this is the furniture set I grew up with, and I could keep at least 6 pairs of grown-up jeans in one drawer.

Since we have two cats, I want to use one of the top drawers to store the diapers/changing supplies (my cats likes to chew on plastic bags and I'd rather not find diaper shreddings everywhere).

How would you organize the rest? What size clothes do you keep on hand? We have clothes from 0-24mo. I'm thinking of packing the 9-24mo stuff away, and keeping the rest out in drawers - a drawer for 0-3, 3-6, and 6-9. That leaves 2 drawers left. Would you use one for onesies/socks/caps?

What about a drawer for blankets, diaper cloths and such?

  • Here is how I organized:

top drawer, bibs, hats, swaddlemes, socks

2nd drawer: receiving blankets, spit up clothes, towels, hooded towels

bottom drawer: onsies, extra sheets, extra changing table pad

    closet: all her clothes

  • I only keep current clothing out and all the rest we keep in rubbermaids in the closet together by size.

I keep socks/caps in baskets in the closet on one of the shelves bc they are so tiny.

I would just put onesies and whatnots in the drawers.

ditto, DD has a TON of clothes so we keep out what we need and have 1 drawer for each thing - onsies, one peice outfits, 2 piece outfits, gowns, socks/shoes/hair bands, burp cloths & bibs. receiving blankets in a basket.
