1. Repurposed.
2. Up-cycled.
There were plenty of perfectly fine words that said the exact same thing...recycled, reused, etc...but for whatever reason if you put repurposed or upcycled it makes you trendy and cool?????
hate them.
Is it 3:00? work is bringing me beer at 3:00..I think I need it.
Re: Two least favorite "trendy" words.
LOL! They are always trying to make things sound better.
Like instead of a used car, it is a previously owned car. And prunes are now just called dried plums.
Of course, those are both accurate, but the new words are just sugar coated.
Etsy is full of them. It also drives me nuts. Then again, pre-owned bugs me when talking used cars, too.
Where on earth do you work that has their own magical beer fairy??????
1. Webinar (DH always laughs at this - he doesn't have an office job)
2. Staycation.
Webinar doesn't bug me too much...there isn't really another word for it is there?
Staycation--yeah, unless you really stay, it isn't appropriate right???
My other work lingo word I hate "lets take this offline." what's wrong is "lets discuss later" offline bugs me. or dub, dub, dub when talking about a website. "our dub dub dub team released a new version of blah, blah, blah."
beer fairy---its a happy place here.....I never thought of it as a fairy, but really it is.....
I can't stand how people add "sort of" into everything. I was watching some show on HGTV and this designer sprinkled "sort of" everywhere.
That's a "sort of" neutral color and over there we're putting a "sort of" sofa. WTF is a "sort of" sofa? It's either a sofa, or it's not. Nothing IS anymore, everything is just SORT OF.
I cannot ditto this one enough!!!
