My goal is a year and I suspect I'll go a little past that. ?I am planning on going to St. Thomas for a girls trip - without Ethan - the week before labor day, so I will wean before that though. ?He will be 13 months at that point.
Right now my goal is 3 months to EBF.. We are already starting to have some issues with supply with working (I can't pump at work regularly and my supply is definitely taking a hit from it). So we may start supplementing at 3 months.. I have an OK stash, but not great. I am going to have to bust into it tomorrow.. It actually makes me really sad to think about stopping, but I also want my little girl to be happy and not hungry!

Aiming for one year here and I'll starting giving cow's milk at one year. I'll miss BFing for sure but I loathe the pump and can't wait for the day that I retire it.
About a year I guess, but we'll have to see how things are going when its closer to that time. We just hit 6 months and have only dabbled in solids. Maybe she'll want to wean sooner than a year, maybe a little later. WHO says 2 years is great, but I can't yet imagine that in my head.
I have no personal convictions about cow's milk. I've been using wholesomebabyfood.com as a guide so whatever they say and the ped. sounds good to me.
ok so I guess 1year is average for cows milk, ok now it's time for me to pump so my kid can eat tomorrow. I can't tell you how much I HATE pumping at work, but it's worth it
I plan on BF for a year as long as my supply keeps up. Right now, I have about a months worth frozen, so I may be able to stop pumping before 12 months.
I am not sure when I plan on stopping. I set short goals for myself and that seems to work great. I wanted to get to 3 months and I did so I am now going to try to get to 4 months. It was a lot easier to nurse her when I was home but being back at work makes it hard. I pump at work but have noticed my supply has gone down. I hope I can make it to 4 months. I feel bad for stopping too since I love that time with her. Oh and after a year for cow's milk.
I plan on nursing until around 1 year. Due to the timing of things (his birthday is July 19 and he starts daycare August 3), I didn't want to be weaning and going to daycare all at the same time. I'll start weaning a week or 2 before his birthday to whole milk. That'll give us about a month to make sure we're both okay!
I want to BF until he's at least one. I don't know about cow's milk. I can't have any while nursing b/c he has horrible stomach pains when I eat it. We will just have to see.
My goal for bfing is 1 year but I'll go longer if he will

I plan to BF at least to a year, then let her self wean. I may start her on soy milk before cow's milk. We drink both & I think it would be an easier transition that way.
Re: BFing moms -
My goal is to BF until at least 6months and then re-evaluate. And I have no idea on the cows milk.
My goal was 6 months and we made that yesterday. Now I am just going to do it as long as I can, plus I have about 2 weeks worth in my freezer.
I'll do cow's milk at 1 year, just like I did with DD.

I am planning and hoping for a full year.
I hadn't thought about cow's milk, yet. I don't even know when it is ok for them to drink but for sure won't as long as I am bf'ing.
