will you explain dream feeding to me?

I dream feed DD if she falls alseep early and I want her to sleep a little longer after I go to bed before waking again to eat. I just feed her while she is still sleeping and put her back to bed. She never wakes up enough to be awake and I do not burp her. I have tried burping and she will not, so I quit and she is fine with it.

I've done this a few times in hopes of him STTN, but it didn't work, he still woke up at 2 a.m., lol

But sometimes when he gets up for is 2 or 3 a.m. feeding he will fall asleep during the entire feeding and I usually do get a burp out of him while he is asleep, pretty funny
