We're having mother's day dinner out with my husband's family and I'm being such a coward about voicing my opinion. With this being my first mother's day I really wanted to go somewhere special, but the IL's are tossing around the idea of Indian food (which I can't even eat) and I'm being so wishy washy about it instead of just suggesting where I would *really* like to go...a nice Italian place with a great wine list :-) I suppose that's not budget conscious, alas. ?I just don't want them to think I'm being selfish. What would you do??
Re: Mother's day. I'm being such a coward
I would do what I want to do. It is your first Mother's Day. You MIL has had a bunch of Mother's Days before.
Its going to stink if your sitting at dinner with an empty plate while everyone else is eating. Talk to DH about it, maybe he can steer the dinner to a different restaurant. Its your day too, you deserve a place you like too.
And Indian isn't horribly cheap, Italian could be more budget friendly.
My thoughts exactly.
I agree. I can't stand my MIL so I would tell her like it is but you deserve to do what you want so tell your DH how you feel.
