Is it possible to sleep train without letting LO cry at all?

I'm not talking about CIO. Have read HSHHC, Ferber, and others similar. They all seem to involve letting the child cry for short periods of time. Has anyone had success without letting thier LO cry? She gets herself so worked up that I feel she will never calm down enough to fall asleep, so I keep ruining it (trying techniques from HSHHC). Please help!!

According to the No Cry Sleep Solution it is possible. But for my daughter it is not. She's just a crier. So be prepared if your LO is like mine to have to deal with a little crying. I can be actively soothing her, but she still likes to scream in my ear for 2-3 minutes minimum. GL!
