WWYD: Friend sent me Mother's Day gift

Ahh!  DH stopped home after lunch and found a package from a good friend of mine (who lives OOT).  It's a cute frame with DD's name on it.  She also made me a Mother's Day card.

She had her first baby 2 months after me, but I hadn't planned on sending her anything for Mother's Day nor was I expecting anything from her.  Should I buy her a card today to mail tomorrow or just wait and send a thank you note next week and end this gift buying cycle.  :)

P.S. DH said the frame is VERY cute and I'm sure I'll love it.  This is a sweet gesture from her.  I'm not complaining, just surprised!

  • Send a mother's day card and a thank you -- it sounds like it was just a nice gesture, not something she expected to be recipricated.

  • I would send a thank you card and leave it at that.

    agreed. =)?

  • I think a card would be sufficient.  She probably wasn't expecting anything in return - it was just a nice gesture.
