Any good ideas on how to makes this any easier? My daughter still sleeps in her bassinet in our room, but the several nights she has been waking up a lot so I think I'm going to give her crib a try.
I am so glad we put DD in her crib from the very start. We tried doing the bassinet thing for a little while but every time she stirred it woke me up (and she wasn't sleeping much at night anyway) so we just went straight to the crib.
Does she have a favorite blanket or something in the bassinet that she sleeps with that you can move to the crib? That might give her something familiar to be comfortable with. Otherwise, just start with the naps and eventually the night time sleeping in the crib will happen.
at 10 weeks she was getting too big for her bassinet so one night I put her swaddled in the crib between a sleep positioner. The first few nights she woke up more often but I wasn't going to turn back. She's now been in there for 7 weeks. She is taking her first nap in there now. She usually won't nap unless she is in the swing.
I just plopped him in there this past Saturday night, swaddled on an incline with the humidifier going. He's been STTN since he started daycare 2 weeks ago.
