XP: Daycare cubby contents?

I haven't posted over here yet, but I'm going back to work on Friday.  I'm very happy with the daycare we've chosen, but it all just seems to have creeped up on me so quickly!  I feel like my brain is stretched a little thin already, so hopefully it will all go smoothly.

Tomorrow we're going to get DS's little cubby set up at daycare in preparation for his first day on Friday.  I have diapers, wipes, diaper cream, extra clothes, socks, and bibs, pacifiers, a blankie for his crib, "emergency" formula...What else am I forgetting?

 Thanks!

Re: XP: Daycare cubby contents?

  • Orajel for teething, teethers, tylenol infant drops... he might need them being so young, but Little Man uses these items pretty often

  • Loading the player...
  • I also provide extra nipples for the bottles and liners since we use the playtex drop-ins.

  • I have a bulb syringe in DD's cubby since she tends to have a lot of boogies. ?I also used to keep a big ziplock bag in there for empty bottles. ?GL!
  • Do you have to provide burp cloths?  I send two or three a day.  Bulb syringe for the nose.

  • My daycare requires doctor's permission for any OTC med, so you may need to get forms for tylenol or orajel.  I would put an extra sheet in the cubby and maybe an extra blanket.  I send bibs, but most parents don't.  The center won't use burp clothes so bringing them for me is useless.  I have a hairbrush in her bin too.

  • Our daycare provides bibs and sheets-they sent ours home again.  We also need a DR's note to use any medication.  I'd bring more extra onesies than you think you'll need.  When DS was in infant room, there were a few days we went througha couple outfit changes-sometimes he still ended up in the daycare spare clothes!  If they'll be going outside, don't forget a sunhat.
  • Oh definitely.  My daughter never comes home in what I send her in.  Either there is a poop or spit up situation that requires changing.  I did forget the sunhat, but I have one now.
