2nd Trimester

So, I'm 99.9% sure I have a UTI

UGH...Fuucking A. I've only had one UTI before and this is exactly what it felt like. I have my regular monthly visit with my OB tomorrow morning at 10:30 but I just don't know if I can wait that long...plus, I have my glucose test tomorrow.

It's starting to get painful and I just want some relief...Think I should wait for my appointment tomorrow or go to Urgent Care?

  • Try calling your office , explain your situation and see if they can call in some pregnancy safe meds for you to take at your pharmacy.

  • Call your doctor stat. ?If it turns into a bladder infection, it can cause contractions. ? I went through it at 19 weeks and it's not fun.
  • Call your doc and ask them what they want you to do.  They might just be able to have you come in today instead of tomorrow.

Infections can be bad... Ugh so sorry!
  • You should call the doc but you wont get any relief unfort.  I got UTIs frequently with this pregnancy and even when I went to the doctor i didn't get relief right away. It was unbearable going into the office- I'm sorry you have to go through it!
  • I just got tested for one myself - I didn't have any pain but I was constantly having to pee tiny amounts. I figured it was probably just pg-related but wanted to check anyway. Turns out I don't have one but I'm glad I checked.

  • Urgent Care

If you have a full blown UTI, there's no way to wait until tomorrow, it's gonna get REALLY uncomfortable as the hours tick away.  I went in once and they are perfectly capable of doing a pee test on you and prescribing some meds.

Maybe call your OB's office first just to make sure...but I would rec. the Urgent Care if nothing else.
