AW: I love hand me downs!

My DH's family is so generous! He has a a brother and a sister - both with three kids.  His brother has three girls and his sister has a girl and two boys.  His brother has given us a ton of stuff: high chair, swings, pack n play, and the list goes on and on. ( I am checking on recalls, etc)

So, I got home today to a box from my SIL. It is a huge box full of boy baby clothes. In the note, she said they are stopping at three kids and plans to send all of their boy clothes as soon as my nephew (3 months old) grows out of them.  The stuff could have been brand new.  She dresses the boys so cute! I can't wait to be on the receiving end of her cleaning!

    That's great! DH and I have been blessed with hand-me-downs, too. My SIL and BIL (DH's brother) have a daughter and twin boys, so they had two of everything! I scored an extra car seat, stroller, high chair, bathtub, Boppy pillow, Baby Bjorn, swing, Johnny Jump-Up, and much more! Our niece even gave her girl cousin her pink cowboy boots that she has now outgrown. Too cute!

    That's awesome.  I think it just depends on where you are getting the hand me downs from.  My cousin always buys the cheapest stuff and her kids clothes are always filthy.  I wouldn't want those ever!

    You are right - I should have qualified that. I love hand me downs from DH's family because they are nice, good quality and in good shape. I am in the same boat as you are as far as cousins go - I am hoping mine doesn't offer!

    Dangit DH for being an only child.  I wish we had someone to get nice hand me downs from!
