I'm not going to let DS CIO now - but thinking ahead about what kind of sleep methods I should read up on and try to use with him. He goes to sleep ok - we're getting pretty good at the drowsy but awake thing... it's the staying asleep part that's a nightmare. He's waking up every 2-3 hours, and has been doing this for going on 2-3 weeks now. He's also becoming a bear to get down for naps.
So - does CIO/Ferber help to alleviate these problems? Or are there other tips and tricks I should know about?
Re: Ok, so does CIO help with keeping them asleep? Or just getting them to sleep?
I applied the No Cry option of HSH for J and got her STTN at 4 weeks and going 11-12 hours straight at 3m.
I did not discover it until C was 7m, we had to do full on CIO with her, she went from up 7 times a night to STTN 13 hours and still does. I did CIO for 2 regualr naps. Since we did it she naps for 3 hours straight.
Nope 3m works fine too.
All you need to do is read the first chapter and the chapter for the age of your child, skip the stories.
