Talk to me about federal student loans

I am applying to grad school and I just filled out my FAFSA.  I am afraid that they look at the EFC and will deny me using federal student loans.  I KNOW it said its not the amount you have to pay but they take that into consideration.  I guess I am just needing the fine ladies on botb to confirm this. 

Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.

    They'll deny you for grants and income sensitive stuff if your EFC is high, but not loans. GL with grad school, I'm finishing up and SO excited about it :)

    Phew.  I will not be eligible for grants and what not since its a grad program. 
    Not sure what direction we are headed. Either way, I am up for the ride.

    Ditto PP.  They won't deny you loans.  Everyone qualifies regardless of income. 

    If you have any more questions, let me know.  I just had to do my FAFSA for my last year.
