Thank you to everyone who posted some very sincere comments yesterday.
Well we have to get rid of most of our snakes. But we are able to keep between 6-8 for sure. We have quarantined some of the females who are about to lay eggs, but as soon as they lay we have to get rid of them. It makes me sad, but at least we can get our batch of eggs this year. IBD is not genetic thank god.
We still have lost a lot of money, but hopefully with the eggs we get we can keep some for breeding.
That is it for now. Thanks again ladies!
Re: Snake situation from yesterday

I read your post this morning, I'm so so sorry for you and your DH and the snakes. Generally I'm not a fan of snakes, in fact I saw my first garter snake this weekend in our wood pile and I did gasp out loud and took a few steps back, but I'm okay with it now.
but I feel really bad that they have to suffer and that you and your DH are suffering too. I really hope that things work out for you guys!

Snake eggs look like regular eggs just a bit bigger and softer.
