Happy Teacher Appreciation Week!! I teach 1st grade and my school is showing their appreciation by having the kids bring us something different each day of the week. Yesterday was "sweet treat day". Our administrators did a breakfast yesterday and today is lunch. Here's to hoping the kids give everyone a break and are extra nice!

I understand that. I was pink slipped last year and when I was brought back I had to sign a temp. contract. So now I'm waiting to hear about my job for next year, but doesn't look good at all. This is my fourth year teaching. Be hopeful though. They say that in 2011-2012 there will likely be a huge teacher shortage, because of baby boomers retiring. GL!!
Oh I love that idea! How fun!
One of my best friends was pink slipped this year...I couldn't stand the wondering every year until you get tenured. And even tenured teachers are getting cut here. Boo!
