the ever growing trend (it seems) of bringing a baby to a bar.
I've been spending a lot of time at them lately in preparation for my upcoming new part time gig as a karaoke host (yay!) but can not BELIEVE the amount of babies strapped into carriers, sitting at a bar table with people.
Seriously, who put the post on babygaga that this was ok?
Re: Let us discuss...
If the place is a bar/restaurant or serves food and there is no smoking, I don't see too big of a problem.
Unless the parents are both getting hammered while the baby's chillin, then that's not cool.
I'm doing ok. Working a LOT, and joined a gym, so have mostly been lurking on here for a bit each night keepin up with you ladies.
I left a nasty message with the geneticists today because it's been almost 7 weeks with not a phone call. If it's that hard to interpret the results, send me a hard copy and I'll google them. You can find just about anything on google these days. Dawned on my today that I would have been a week into 3rd tri today - and I'm ok with it. Now if only AF would show up, so I can start hounding DH for babymakin again, lol...
How are you, m'dear?
yes, this was my thought when i asked if it was a bar restaurant.
After I push this kid out I am ordering the 30 day shred. Have you heard of this? It's supposed to kick your butt right into shape.
Ahhh!! Is there a number you can call? 7 weeks sounds like a really long time to have to wait. Is that a normal wait time?
Can't wait for you to get KTFU. Are you trying again right away?
Nope, these are straight up bars. It makes me want to walk up to them and punch them. Last weekend, I watched a girl get wasted while proclaiming to everyone there that she just had a baby a week ago.
WTF is wrong with you, if you're acting like that? Shouldn't you be home with your WEEK OLD BABY?!?
If I wasn't there for employment purposes I would never set foot in a bar again, after seeing this crap. Jeeez.
I want to wait until we're told what our odds are of this happening again. last I was told, preliminary results showed this to NOT be genetic, and that we have a 3% chance of it happening again. If the official results confirm this, then we're going to try again right away.
As I type this, DH is sleeping next to me with Patrick's teddy bear, and 3 days ago came home with the cutest little girl outfit from Wal-Mart and said, "I just know we'll need this in about 10 months or so." (He's already convinced, before conception, that the next one will be a girl, lol) We're sooo ready to hop back on the bandwagon!
I've seen it a lot in Baltimore too...so it's definitely not a Chicago thing. Luckily, I haven't witness parents drinking a lot while doing this....
