I did see that but it was in the middle of the night for you by the time I read it, so I figured I'd be wasting my breath (err, keystrokes) if I replied.
I love the story of the stained glass - only there would that not be considered sacreligious!
I think I looked at a place to live in Richmond. Is it mostly big houses on big lots and lots of old trees? A little east of downtown? I ended up getting a place in the city, which I was very happy with.
And I didn't think you had your reception on Lygon, just thought maybe that was the row of cafes where your guests could grab a bite - I'd totally eat there all dressed up for a wedding! I don't know what choc tops are, but I love anything with Baileys - what a shame I didn't discover that while I was there.
LOL yeah Richmond's just east of the city. We live in Fitzroy now, which is pretty close to Lygon St (and Brunswick St, another cafe strip). The cafes near the church were in Bridge Rd.
choc tops are cones with ice cream then dipped in that hard chocolate coating stuff. Here you commonly get them as cinema snacks. I don't go to the movies often at cinema nova but since they make their own baileys choc tops (most places get them commercially and just standard flavours) I go there just for the candy bar! In fact its a bit of a thing, if DH is coming home from a trip and doesn't have a ton of luggage he will get out of the cab on Lygon, and walk home with choc tops! Baileys of course.
And yes...totally sacreligious except to the gods of AFL!
I lived in Little Collins St before I was married...great little apartment. Love Melbourne city.
