NO MORE THRILLER MOVIES FOR ME!!

I have been wanting to see this movie called "The Strangers" for a while now, but have not mustered up the courage to actually rent it yet. Scary movies I can deal with but the ones that are supposedly true tend to freak me out a bit. According to the cover of this movie this one is supposed to be based on true events...Well I woke up early yesterday and I saw that it was on, and I convinced myself that it would be the best time watch it b/c it was bright outside and it wasn't quite as scary to watch it in the daytime. Well I did, and it wasn't as much scary as it was just REALLY freaky. So I was fine until it was time to go to bed and it was really dark... You know when you imagine things and then suddenly open your eyes and you see like a figure just from you thinking about it and imagining so hard...It took forever to go to sleep last night needless to say. Has anyone else ever worked themselves up like this recently??

Re: NO MORE THRILLER MOVIES FOR ME!!

  • We haven't seen in it recently, but it was soo good! We got it on PPV one night and loved the suspense of that movie!
  • ah yea, I stopped watching that movie like half way through. I hate scary movies but DH talked me into watching it.

  • Hmm, the Strangers really didn't get to me. Event Horizon did, but not the Strangers, I just thought it was sad, creepy, but sad.
  • I thought I was the only that this was happening to!!  I used to LOOOVE CSI and all those true crime shows. I especially loved them when FI was at work (he is a fireman, so often times I have solo nights). Soon after I became pregnant, though, something happened and I could no longer watch them without getting freaked out! Glad I am not alone!

  • DH loves thriller movies, but usually ends up watching them by himself (I'm a big chicken sh*t). He was watching that movie one night, and I came out from bed to get a drink, well when I poked my head into the living room to see what he was up to, he screamed like a girl. I just about died laughing! To this day I will never let him live it down. He says that is the one movie that he actually got a little freaked out over.

  • I don't watch these kinds of movies.  Icky.
  • I watched the Halloween remake last night right before bed.

Bad idea.  Michael Myers was chasing me all through my dreams.

  • No! And no more CSI for me either!  I had a terrible nightmare I was in the show only it was real life and we were someplace nasty with a bunch of bugs.  Somehow a bug planted eggs in my ear and they hatched and little buggies came running out of my ear.  I woke up trying to brush them out of my hair and ear.  It was terrible!

  • lol I am such a wuss, everyone makes fun of me. I used to get scared from Unsolved Mysteries! One night 2 roommates and I were in college visiting a friend and watched, back-to-back, Mothman Prophesies, The Ring and another scary movie...they went to bed in the same room and I was left alone on the other side of the apt in a room alone. I was freaking out all night.
